E-Bike Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions
This E-Bicycle Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) contains the Terms and Conditions for your electric bicycle rental and is to be read in conjunction with the online booking form used to reserve the Bicycle (as defined herein). This Agreement is between the bicycle renter (“Renter”) and Ski Outlet Snow Sports INC (“Mountain Lifestyle”) and covers the rental of the electric bicycle and any related equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, rack, lock, helmet, safety gear, and related miscellaneous gear (“Bicycle”).
From the time identified on this Agreement until the Bicycle is returned, Renter agrees to pay the hourly, daily or multi- day rates as indicated on the Renter’s online booking. The minimum charge is 2 hours. Renter agrees to pay all charges for miscellaneous service and all sales, use, rental and excise taxes including any applicable tax-related surcharges. Renter also agrees to pay a reasonable fee for cleaning the Bicycle if the Bicycle is returned with excessive stains, dirt or debris attributable to Renter’s use. Renter further agrees to pay a late charge of $25/hour for every additional hour or part of an hour that the Bicycle is late being returned. Mountain Lifestyle will have sole discretion to determine at what point the Bicycle will be considered lost or stolen rather than late, at which time the Renter’s credit card will be charged the full replacement cost of the Bicycle.
The Renter and each participant who will be using the Bicycle will be required to sign a waiver before receiving the bike, in person, at the time of pick up/drop off (if drop off has been arranged). At the time of signing the waiver, the Renter and each participant who will be using the Bicycle will be required to provide photo identification confirming that they are over 18 years of age. There will be a safety run-through and training to use the Bicycle once the waiver is signed. E-bike helmet, bike lock, and bike lights are provided to all participants.
Payment for the Bicycle needs to be done in advance online via credit card at the time of booking, or if renting at a physical location, you may pay by debit/cash, but you must leave a copy of your cc
All cancellations must be communicated via email to. All cancellations made prior to 48 hours of booking reservation will receive a full refund minus the credit card processing fee. Within 48 hours of reservation, a one-time adjustment can be made based-on bike availability.
Renter understands that Renter must pay in full an amount (to be used against the final bill) equal to the estimated total charge for the Bicycle rental at the rates indicated on the website and confirmed over the phone and via email at the time of booking Mountain Lifestlye only accepts payment by credit card. Renter specifically agrees and authorizes Mountain Lifestyle to charge Renter’s credit card any amounts due from Renter, determined Mountain Lifestyle’s sole and reasonable discretion, resulting from the Bicycle rental, including but not limited to rental charges, late fees, and/or charges for loss or damage to the Bicycle beyond normal wear and tear.
Renter agrees to return the Bicycle to Mountain Lifestyle in the same condition as received, except for ordinary wear and tear (which does not include flat tires), on the due date and time and at the location specified by Mountain Lifestyle. Renter understands that there may be late or additional charges if Renter returns the Bicycle at a different time, date, or location than indicated by Mountain Lifestyle.
No trail use! Renter will not use or permit the Bicycle to be used for hire, to be operated in a test, race or contest or in any location that operation would be illegal or a nuisance to others. Renter will not use or permit the Bicycle to be used for an illegal purpose. A violation of this paragraph automatically terminates the rental and makes Renter liable to Mountain Lifestyle for any penalties, fines, forfeitures, liens, recovery and storage costs, and any related legal expenses associated with a violation of this paragraph including but not limited to legal costs on a solicitor and client basis.
Renter shall pay Ski Outlet Snow Sports for all losses and/or damage to the Bicycle, including theft or vandalism, regardless of fault. If the Bicycle is damaged, Renter agrees to pay the reasonable costs of repair and diminution in value as determined in the sole discretion of Mountain Lifestyle. If the Bicycle is damaged beyond reasonable repair (as determined by Mountain Lifestyle), Renter shall be responsible for the retail fair market value/replacement cost less any salvage value, if applicable. In addition, Renter shall also be responsible for the loss of use, administrative fees, as determined by Mountain Lifestyle or specified by law, plus any towing, pick-up and/or storage charges. In the event of complete loss or theft of the Bicycle, Renter shall be responsible for paying loss of use at the daily rate for each 24 hours Renter delays in paying the total loss once assessed by Mountain Lifestyle.
Renter is also responsible for any loss suffered by Mountain Lifestyle arising out of Renter’s rental of the Bicycle, including but not limited to:(1) abuse of the Bicycle or violation of any prohibited use or operation as specified in this Agreement or by law; (2) reckless riding; (3) riding while impaired, including but not limited to riding while under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any controlled substance; 4) failing to promptly report any accident, injury or loss to the police and Mountain Lifestyle; (5) failing to complete an accident report in accordance with Mountain Lifestyle procedures; (6) obtaining the Bicycle rental through fraud or misrepresentation; or (7) using the Bicycle for an illegal purpose.
Renter specifically authorizes Mountain Lifestyle to collect from any responsible third party any applicable losses and/or damage, on behalf of and to the credit of Renter. In the event Mountain Lifestyle obtains a recovery from a third party after Renter has paid Mountain Lifestyle for all or part of any loss, Mountain Lifestyle will refund to Renter any excess recovered above the amount of the loss plus administrative fees and other incurred collection costs of enforcement, including legal fees.
Ski Outlet Snow Sports INC will bear no responsibility for damage to person(s) or property arising from use of the Bicycle by the Renter and/or any other user of the Bicycle, whether such other user is authorized by the Renter or not.
Renter and all users of the Bicycle will be required to sign Mountain Lifestyle standard form of waiver and indemnity (“Waiver and Indemnity”) at the time of Bicycle pick-up. The Waiver and Indemnity will include important details regarding the Renter’s liability for injury to self, others and/or property, including but not limited to damage to the Bicycle, and should be read with care by the Renter prior to signing. A copy of the Waiver and Indemnity form is available on the Mountain Lifestyle website for review by the Renter prior to booking.
Alcohol and Drug Use:
It is expressly understood by the Renter that use of the Bicycle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, whether legal or not, is at the sole risk of the Renter and Bicycle user. While Mountain Lifestyle may provide suggested touring routes which may include winery and/or cidery locations, the Renter bears sole responsibility for ensuring that their use of the Bicycle is not impaired by alcohol or drugs and will indemnify and hold harmless Mountain Lifestle for any injury to person(s) or property, damages or claims arising out of the Renter and Bicycle user’s rental and use of the Bicycle.

What’s included in the rental?
With each bike/e-bike rental we provide a sanitized helmet and a bike lock.
What’s the minimum age you have to be to rent an e-bike?
You must be at least 19 to rent an e-bike. For all bikes you must have a valid Credit Card
Do you Deliver?
Yes! We do free delivery to Downtown Kelowna, Glenmore, East Kelowna, Lower and Upper Mission, Black Mountain, Rutland, Lake Country and Oyama.
How far can you go on a single charge?
Our bikes have an average range of 60km per charge.
What Happens with if the battery dies?
If the battery dies, the bike will simply work as a normal bike and you will still be able to get to your final destination. You will receive your bike with a full charge.
What is the Max Speed the Bike will Assist you to?
Our bikes all have a max speed of 32km
Do the bikes need to be locked up every time they’re left unattended?
Yes, the bikes need to always be secured with the provided lock while unattended.
What is your Bike Theft Policy?
Riders are financially responsible for rental bikes and equipment from the time its released to your custody till the time its dropped off at the storefront or picked up at the arranged time and location.
What is the Bike is damaged?
Riders are financially responsible for coverage of any damage beyond regular “wear and tear”
What happens if the bike gets a flat tire?
Please call 250-765-0167 or text 250-212-2639 and someone will come fix your bike or swap it out for a new one as soon as possible.
What’s your Cancellation Policy?
Full refund with 24 Hours notice.
BOAT POLICIES
Do I Need a Boating License?
No! We provide a captain with all our boat rentals with a valid boat license.
Can I Rent the Boat without a Captain?
Sorry, no. the driver will ensure the safety of your group and let your whole group get the most out of your day on the water.
Can I rent the Boat for less/more time?
We only do 6 Hour time blocks for the rentals, however, there is the option to extend your boat rental 2 hours. Please contact the store in good time to arrange this as it will depend on the arrangements of the captain.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
We offer 100% refunds when given over 72 hours notice. We offer no refund when given less then 72 hours notice. The refunded amount will be the total paid minus the fees we incurred for the initial transaction. Please let us know as soon as you need to cancel.
In a scenario where the weather does not permit safe boating conditions (thunder and lightning) you will receive 100% refund on your rental.
Is it safe to go boating while its raining?
Yes! Our boats are available during most kinds of weather. We will however, stop you from boating if a serious storm blows in. Thunder and lighting are dangerous while boating.
What is the Damage Deposit?
Nothing! Because we are sending you with our experienced captain you will not need to provide a damage deposit. We do take a fuel deposit of $300 the morning of your rental, any unused fuel amount will be returned to your credit card.
What’s included with the rental?
Your captain, all the necessary safety equipment and life jackets, one tube, 1 wake-surf board.
What time should I arrive for my rental?
The boat is yours from 10:00am-4:00pm, it will be in the water and ready to go before your time starts so please arrive in time to get the full use of your rental.
