Warranty and Service Plan

You may accept or decline our damage protection plan. $6 each day of rental, the plan covers up to $500 worth of damage. 

Damages covered including but not limited to: broken brake lever, bent/broken derailleur, dented rim, damaged cable and/or housing, dented chainstays, scraped fork or shock stanchions, scratches/scrapes to aluminum frame, scratches/gouges to carbon frames and a broken helmet.

Damages not covered: structural damage/cracks to carbon frames, structural dents/cracks to aluminum frames, dames caused by improper transportation, damages caused by riding in inclement conditions, theft or loss of any equipment, damages caused by fire or underwater submersion and/or purposeful destruction.

Rental Requirements – 48 Hour Cancellation Policy

Reservations require a credit card number that we will only charge if you do not call/email to cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled rental. If you fail to do so, we will bill your card for each day of the reservation.

All cancellations need to be  e-mailed to shop@poisonspiderbicycles.com, more than 48 hours in advance.

Bikes can be picked up any time after 8am (9am during Winter hours, Summer hour pickup begins at 5pm) on the first day of your rental and must be dropped off before 5:00 pm on the last day of your rental (2pm next day/summer). When you pick up your bikes, all riders will be asked to read and sign a waiver. All riders are required to be present.  The adult rider whose name is on the reservation must have a valid ID and credit card present at the time of rental.

Your rental must be paid in full before leaving the shop. Each rider must be present for a brief safety instruction and orientation on the use of the rental equipment.

**Due to situations out of our control, the bike you request may be different upon arrival. 

1) I agree that I understand, accept, and assume responsibility for all terms and information in this document.

2) If I sign before completing any of the steps below, I assume responsibility to complete these steps before leaving the PSB property, and assume responsibility for all information referenced herein.

3) I agree that accepting delivery of the rental bicycle(s), helmet(s), rack(s) and/or other Equipment finalizes my irrevocable consent to the terms contained herein.

4) I have read or will read the posted copy of the “Rental Speech” or heard the speech by a PSB employee.

5) I have or will inspect the Equipment for damages and test ride the bicycle in accordance with “Rental Speech” and report any problems to a PSB employee. By signing below and accepting the Equipment, I certify that I have received the Equipment listed for me on the other side of this form in good working condition and that “normal wear” or damages from previous use of the Equipment is adequately marked on the Equipment. I take responsibility for and am satisfied with the fit of my Equipment based on my own preferences with, or despite, the guidance provided by a PSB employee. I have availed myself of any additional assistance I wish for from a PSB employee, before leaving PSB premises.

6) I accept responsibility for loss, damage (beyond normal wear as defined and determined by PSB), or service made to Equipment, and I AGREE TO PAY for any repairs or replacement associated with such loss, damage or service. I understand that a PSB technician has the sole discretion in determining any repairs needed, and may take up to 24 hours after the Equipment has been returned to do so. Equipment made of carbon fiber may incur increased damage fees ($150 up to $1000 replacement cost) due to gouges or cracks. I have inspected the bikes for pre-existing scratches or damage and by leaving PSB premises accept any unmarked damage as my own.

7) I am responsible for safe and proper use of the Equipment and know how to use it or have been instructed to my satisfaction. I know that for my convenience, PSB offers a limited repair kit with each bicycle including only one spare tube. I acknowledge that mechanical failure is commonplace and that I am solely responsible for carrying adequate repair gear for my ride and the ability to complete field repairs. I am advised that the PSB recommends I carry supplies beyond the limited repair kit, especially extra tubes appropriate for my bike and adequate food, water, clothing, medical supplies and information for my safety. PSB does not provide additional supplies and I am responsible for the expense of any additional supplies I choose to carry.

8) I know that the Equipment is DUE BACK BY 5 PM on the due date, and that if it is NOT RETURNED BY 5 PM, I WILL BE CHARGED an additional full day's rental fee. I know that the cancellation policy requires FULL PAYMENT for all Equipment for any and all days cancelled, less than 48 hours in advance of 8 a.m. of the cancelled day.

9) I understand that the bicycles are equipped for daytime riding only, and any use of bicycles after dark is discouraged (and may be illegal on public roads) and at my own risk.

10) I understand and acknowledge the dangers, risk of loss, failure, fire, injury or death that is inherent in use of the Equipment, and I expressly agree to assume all responsibility for loss, injury, death, or damage to myself or third parties arising from my rental of this Equipment. My participation is purely voluntary, and I elect to use Equipment knowing these risks.

11) This Agreement represents the complete agreement between the parties and if any part of this Agreement is determined to be unenforceable, all other parts shall remain in effect and that Colorado law shall apply and venue shall be Mesa County District Court.

12) I, the participant (or legal guardian of a participant who is under age 18), do hereby waive, on my behalf and that of my heirs, any and all claims, causes of action, suits or demands of any kind, against PSB, its employees, officers, owners and agents for any injury, damage, death, illness, or loss that may arise from my use of Equipment.

13) I authorize the use of my credit card, as a damage deposit for all Equipment I have reserved. Also for payment for any and all resulting damage charges and late fees, up to 24 hours after the return of each piece of Equipment.
