Trail Head Cyclery
Please make sure you have read and that you understand our Terms and Conditions before your ride any of our Rentals. If you have any questions, please let us know!
VALID ID MATCHING NAME ON BOOKING REQUIRED AT TIME OF PICKUP.
During the pickup process, a photo of you with your vehicle and the demo bike will be taken and attached to our internal documents for additional security.
Cancellation Policy:
If you need to cancel, give us at least 48 hours before scheduled pick
up time to receive a full refund. If you
cancel with less than 48 hours, we will put the dollars into a store
credit. If you do not let us know, then
there is no refund.
Note: We evaluate the bike before each rider and fill out a form that you will get to see and inspect before signing and riding. [Primarily, the fork stanchions are very critical to keep from any scoring that leads to seal failure. This is a very bad thing… Basically treat the bike like it was your Dad’s please.] Needless to say, if it is stolen, you bought it. Do not leave this bike anywhere it can be seen and stolen. Note that hotel parking lots are not safe, or restaurants or even in front of the shop. There are brazen thieves that will take this bike given half a chance.
2. I will wear a helmet at all times when riding this bike. Period. My helmet must be of current safety standards and fit correctly.
Note: We would recommend things like gloves, knee and elbow armor. Either light or clear lens glasses are best unless things are really dusty, then goggles rule. Solid riding shoes that will protect your toes from rocks and roots are key. Five Ten or Specialized make the best.
3. I will know the rules of the trails and roads I ride. I will observe all traffic and trail rules/laws while riding this demo bike. Trail Head Cyclery will not be held responsible for any unlawful riding.
4. Mountain biking is a treacherous sport. It’s a wild world out in them thar mountains where stuff can go wrong and it’s a long way back to the car. It is my responsibility to be prepared for the most common issues or be prepared to walk.
Note: We carry the following; Water (26oz - 100oz.), Spare tube, tire lever, pump, chain link/pin, zip ties, multi-tool (allens, chain tool, blade, bottle opener). This is just a start for shorter rides under three hours. If we’re going deep, a water filter and extra precautions for the place we are riding are in order.
5. Mountain biking is a treacherous sport. I will ride within my comfort level and have fun. No need to scare myselft out there. If I don’t feel it, I will walk it, then get back on.
Note: No shame in that mate. We want you to have a great ride and avoid all injury. That said, if you do injure yourself, understand that in no way, shape or form is Trail Head Cyclery, Inc. to be held responsible for your accident. We feel for you mate, and many have been there, but it’s nobody fault but your own or some other cause, like a mountain lion or reckless trail user. In any case, we are not to blame. Ride within your limits and stay safe.
6. I paid for a certain number of days, if I do not return the bike in time I will be charged for additional days. If I do not contact the shop for delays, I will pay the full value of the equipment rented.
Note: If we have not heard from you by the end of the next business day after the bike was due back in the shop, we will assume the bike is stolen and contact authorities.
7. I, for myself and any minor children for which I am parent, legal guardian or otherwise responsible, release Trail Head Cyclery, Inc. agents, and employees from any liability for damage or injury to myself or any person or property resulting from negligence, adjustment, selection and use of this equipment. I, understanding the inherent risk involved in using this equipment, accept the full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury which may result.
8. I accept for use, as is, the equipment in good condition and accept the full responsibility for care of equipment while in my possession. I will be responsible for the prompt replacement at full retail value of all rental equipment not returned or damaged, other than reasonable wear and tear, which results from the use of this equipment.
9. I agree to return rental equipment by agreed date in clean condition to avoid additional charges.
10. All instructions on the use of rental equipment have been made clear to me and I understand the function of the equipment.

11. If I paid $50 for Crash Insurance, I agree that the insurance only covers the replacement parts and the labor associated with fixing them. I agree Crash Insurance does not include damage to the bike via negligence or if the bike gets stolen. I agree to be fully responsible if the bike is stolen or is damaged in any way outside of its intended use and will reimburse Trail Head Cyclery for its complete value.
