I, for myself and any minor children for which I am parent, legal guardian or otherwise responsible, release the bicycle shop, agents, and employees from any liability for damage or injury to myself or any person or property results from negligence, adjustment, selection and use of this equipment. I, understanding the inherent risk involved in using this equipment, accept the full responsibility for any and all such damage or injury which may results. I accept for use, as is, the equipment in good condition and accept the full responsibility for care of equipment while in my possession. I will be responsible for the prompt replacement at full retail value of all rental equipment not returned or damaged, other than reasonable wear and tear, which results from the use of this equipment. I agree to return rental equipment by agreed date in clean condition to avoid a cleaning fee ($40). I understand to return the bike during business hours and with the contact of a store employee, any other "return" is not acceptable and may result in the prohibition of future rentals. All instructions on the use of rental equipment have been made clear to me and I understand the function of the equipment. I accept the terms of this agreement and accept responsibility for the above charges. I confirm that I have read and understood the terms and conditions of Santa Cruz Cycle Sport, as displayed at the point of sale. Furthermore I confirm that the bike(s) are my responsibility whilst in my possession. I ride at my own risk. Rental Bikes are meant to be ridden within Santa Cruz County. Demo bikes are not to be ridden at bike parks or outside of our local trail network or on beaches. Please be advised that e-bikes are strictly not allowed in Soquel Demonstration forest and Big Basin Redwoods by the State Parks. We provide a flat repair kit for the gravel bikes with tubes, tire levers, and CO2 carts. You are welcome to use them should you need, we just ask that you pay for the replacements. I have reviewed the bike with a staff member and have gone over all existing scratches, and I agree the bike is in good condition. When renting the Thule T2 4 bike rack, I understand that the rack will support up to 60lbs per bike or a total weight of 160lbs for 4 bikes and will not exceed that limit. When renting the Thule Easyfold XT 2 bike rack, I understand that the rack will support up to 65lbs per bike or a total weight of 130lbs for 2 bikes and will not exceed that limit.
