RENTAL AGREEMENT OF HOLLAND BIKES CORPORATION
Please note that during the time of rental you are fully responsible for the bikes.
Below, you will find the rental conditions and a full list of replacement and repair costs.
ART 1. All bicycles and accessories are the sole property of Holland Bikes. You assume complete responsibility for the equipment's care and will be held accountable for any damage or loss. If there's any malfunction, you must report it within 30 minutes from the start of use. After this timeframe, any required repairs due to the equipment's usage will be your responsibility, and additional fees may apply. You are not permitted to alter or perform significant repairs on the bicycles, nor are you allowed to sublet or lend them out. Carrying passengers is prohibited, except for infants in a specified child seat.
ART 2. Use of the equipment is at your own risk. I commit to adhering to all rules, regulations, and laws related to cycling in New York City. This includes, but is not limited to, the New York City Traffic Rules & Regulations, the NYC Administrative Code that forbids riding on
sidewalks, and the N.Y.S. Vehicle & Traffic Law.
ART 3. If there's a theft or accident, promptly notify Holland Bikes, report the incident to the local police, and provide Holland Bikes with a copy of the police report.
ART 4. You grant Holland Bikes permission to charge your credit card for the rental fee and any potential damage or loss of the bike(s). In case of loss or theft, Holland Bikes will charge you $750 per bike, and $2500 per e-bikes. You can choose to enroll in an anti-theft guarantee. This protection covers 50% of the bike and is valid solely in theft instances, provided you submit the police report. This guarantee doesn't cover damages during the rental period.

ART 5. Our bicycles come with a chain lock which you must use every time you park the bike. Always secure the bike's frame to an immovable object when parking.
ART 6. You must return all rented bikes including helmet, lock and basket, to the original pick-up location. If circumstances require you to return the bike to a different location, please notify us via phone or email. If your bike malfunctions and you can't return it to the rental location, secure it by the frame to an immovable object. Please take a photo indicating its exact location and share all necessary recovery details with our team, either via email or phone. We'll provide a replacement bike. Be aware that our services are limited to [Manhattan and Brooklyn]. Retrievals outside these areas will incur a $100 fee.
ART 7. You grant Holland Bikes permission to charge your credit card for the rental fee and any potential damage or loss of the bike(s).
ART 8. You can notify Holland Bikes of any booking changes up to 24 hours before your rental begins. After entering into the rental agreement, you cannot reduce the rental duration. To extend your rental, check with your Holland Bikes shop to ensure your rented bikes' availability. Keep in mind, Holland Bikes doesn't offer refunds for early returns. Returning bikes ahead of your booking's end date may void any special offer benefits if the conditions aren't met. The rental agreement concludes once the bikes are returned, and their condition has been verified by a Holland Bikes representative.
